A documentary by Micah Magee. 9 min.
Czech Republic. 2000. (Original format Hi8)

On the other side of the highway, which the Czech community in Most will never cross, the Roma children of Chanov play in burned out panalaks. In the overcrowded apartments there is no hot water, no telephone. The only connection to the outside world is the one way window of the television. And me, the English teacher from Texas. What is your favorite film? Rocky. Favorite costume? A blond wig. What do you want to be when you grow up? A singer. Gypsy music? No way. This documentary examines the cultural self-determination of a new generation of Czech-Roma musicians.
